Dear Sir/s, after so much of struggle i got copies of documents from govt office redevelopment dept (thru RTI)on expense of society. Now, as we have still not appointed a lawyer i have kept this papers with me. now, few members who does not have idea of seriousness of this papers and are non -co-operative members are asking me to provide copies of this docs. it may happen that by one or the other way this papers may reach developer & he will get idea what we are trying to do & possibility is there that he may make his barriers well in advance. We committee members are trying to avoid giving docs to anyone. my query is.
1. Can we deny member to give photocopy of documents as RTI made was on my name but funds are used from society a/c.
2. Maximum how much amt can we charge per page to members, in case, we have to provide them copies.I have heard that we can charges max Rs 10 per page.

if the amount for the RTI has been given by society a/c you can not deny to give copy of this docs to members of the society.
it's depend on the majority.

you are bound to give members copies of documents if you have used society funds for said purpose .
under byelaws it is specifically mentioned how much society can charge for obtaining xerox copies of documents . it is around rs 10 a page .
