Changes in stamp duty

Dear Experts,
My builder has been told me that, there are changes in stamp duty in Maharashtra and accordingly it will rise from 1st April 2012. On the basis of same he has insisted me to paid it before 31st March 2012.

I want to know is there any rise/ changes in stamp duty on buying property in Maharashtra.

you have to give detailed particulars of your area where property is situated .

Yes. the rates have been revised in Maharashtra since 1st April 2012.
