Has the law been approved that a wife has 50% right in the husbands self acquired property even if she is not a joint owner of the property?

yes, it is on proposal still not implement, it will soon implemented.

This will take a lot of time.It has to be passed in both the houses of the parliament,and is sent to the President for consent.If everything goes on well,it could be tabled in the next monsoon session.

Your understanding is incorrect.

The proposal was that the wife will be entitled to equal share of the property acquired after marriage. There was no proposal to give equal share to wife on husband's self acquired property before marriage.

But, that too still remains a proposal. Not yet approved by the parliament.
