A false dowry case was filed againt my grandson. After invertigation police declared it flase.Final report says that my grandson has never asked for dowry and also the checks claimed to be given by his father in law are found not enchashed.
But after that also his FIL went to court and clamed that he has given dowry and filed a private case.
Can I file a case againt my grandson's FIL that he had given dowry based on my grandson's FIL statements given to police and court and the final report. Will cout aceppt it if I file the case.

This will be a foolish step to take because you eill admit yourselves that you have accepted dowry. Once there is admission of acceptance of dowry by you, then the case can be twisted if the oppositions are cunning enough. So, instead of filing any such cases, it is advisable to fight the case filed against you. You already have a police report in your favour as a strong defence.

ONLY DEFEND YOURSELF. Better to keep quite instead of fighting against women. They themselves agree in court, that there was no dowry. 99% dowry case is false cases in India. None get punished. This Law of 498a & dv need be scraped very soon.

On the basis of admission the accused person can file scuh case against the person who has given the dowry u/s 3 & 4 DP Act.
If the de facto complainant does not contest the Final Report then the Magistrate is likley to accept it.

You need to contest the case in court.

Dear Queriest,
You can file for DP3 (Dowry Prohibition Act 3) but the effectiveness of the same has not been tested in trials.
Also you can file Tax Evasion Petition, if the amount claimed is exorbitant. The undersigned has used the same effectively.
Feel free to contact the undersigned, if I can be of any assistant.
