Meditation stay before divorce

after filing petition for mutual consent divorce, in 1st motion itself can any 1 party in court ask for 120 days meditation stay period... can judge allow such request ?

yes, its mandatory, actually 180 days for separation.

If you mean period between 1st and 2nd motion then it is 6 months.

Though it is not very clear what you mean, the statutory cooling off period is 180 days.

However, mediation is a different ball game, it can be advised by the court at any time.

Mediation period shall start after expiry of 6 months mandatory period.
