injunction

i hold a joint property(land) with A. now A has erected boundary without intimating me.his intention seems to be malafide.can i make a an application for injunction to prevent him from misusing or usurping the land?is it necessary to file a suit before making an application for injunction orders?

Yes it is necessary to file a suit for getting such interim order. File a suit for partition and injunction. You can start a proceeding under 144 crpc but that lasts only for 2 months.
