A 40 yer old person, well qualified in Information Technology, having over 6 years of experience in Information Technology. Due to ill health caused by erratic, night shifts, rotating shifts, long working hours, stressful environment etc. in IT industry, wants to shift to law as his profession. Willing to do 3 years LLB.
1) What is the scope in and around Delhi/NCR?
2) He is not looking for a private practice but a salaried job in some law firm etc. Is it practically possible?
3) Will the salary be something above Rs 20,000?
4) Do the law firms prefer recruiting very young people or are they open to recruiting people over 40 years?

Mr anonymous,law as a profession is very good but depend on your efficiency.There are very good scope in and around Delhi. If you try and do efford well on your part, you can get salaried job salaried 20,000 or may be above,

LLB, as a profession and service, both are very good for an experienced IT professional. The qualification is likely to fetch handsome salary for service in the MNCs, Law Firms, Police Force and Legal Departments of the Government of India. You can also establish your private practice as a Cyber Law Practitioner.

The age limit is restricted to 30 for admitting int he law college (BCI order). but it is not implemented in many of the states. Please check with your state rules.
