Correction of Date of Birth in the passport

In order to correct the place of birth in the passport, passport authorities have asked to produce a declaratory order from the Judicial Magistrate First Class. I want to know under which section of the Criminal Procedure Code, the application should be made to get a declaratory order from the Court. Please guide.

suit for declaration is a civil remedy and not a criminal remedy.

file a suit for declaration to the effect that ur date of birth is this not that.

u ll ve to make General Public as party in the case.

pls consult some local civil law expert to do the needful.

Cr.P.C is helpless i suppose. kiran gave a detailed process in the matter. Annapurna you may consult a local civil lawyer.
