Payroll

(Querist) 15 May 2013 This query is : Resolved 
Sir,
one of the my relative is in jail for murder in 1977 convicted by high court Gujarat in 1980 for life punishment and supreme court in 1994 upheld the high court decision.
Surrender to court in 1994 and got payroll in 1996 then not appeared (absconding) but unfortunately police arrested in 2010 then onwards are in jail.
Is there is a any chance to come out on payroll or due to age or health issue b'coz his age is of around 90 year old.

You are advised to file a mercy petition before the Governor of your state, through home ministry.

The petition of mercy is the only remedy available before such person.
