Bigamy - false fir

Is IPC 494-Bigamy Applicable to a muslim person. The husband given her divorse in the year 2009 as per the shariat law now after 3years she filed a FIR in police station is it valid.

Filing false FIR what action be taken against her ex-wife.

1. 494 is applicable on a Muslim only if he marries the fifth time.

2. FIR in any case is not registered in a bigamy case as it is a non cognizable case and a complaint case has to be filed to seek redress.

'Islam permits a man to have more than one wife provided he does justice to both his wives on economic and other issues
