Bar enrollment

(Querist) 28 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
DEAR SENIORS,

I HAVE COMPLETED 3 YEARS LAW DEGREE WITH DISTINCTION FOR THIS YEAR (2011).

THERE IS NO NOTIFICATION FOR ENROLLMENT INTO THE B.C. OF A.P. STATE AND AT SUDDEN THEY HAVE STOP ENROLLMENTS AS THERE IS SOME ELECTIONS GOING.

AS WE HAVE NEITHER PROPER NOTIFICATION NOR ANY ADDITION IN A.P. BAR COUNCIL SITE, I AM NOT ENROLLED. NOW MY QUERY IS THAT WHETHER I CAN WRITE THE COMING A.I.B.E EXAM IN THE MONTH OF DEC-2011? IF I CANNOT WHAT WILL BE THE PROCEDURE TO TAKE STEPS.

HOPE ANSWER SOON.

THANKING YOU ALL IN ADVANCE,

ADITYA.

It is to be understand that you are not eligible for enrollment without passing AIBE exam, So attend and clear exam to get enrollment.

I am very sorry. None of the experts are correct.
In fact first a LL.B. graduate has to get himself enrolled with the respective bar council. Only after such an enrolment one can apply for sitting in the All India Bar Examination.
If on account of any ongoing election to the State Bar Council the enrolment is temporarily suspended, the enrolment will start as soon as the election to the Bar Council gets over. One has to keep a close watch and also ascertain from the Bar Council officials as to when the enrolment process likely to resume.

In any case, if the AIBE Exam. precedes the enrolment with the Bar Council, then one has to take the AIBE Examination in the next round. The enrolled Advocate would not be put to any disadvantage since with the enrolment, and pending clearance of the AIBE, he/she would be provisionally allowed to practice.
