Witness was summoned. He did not appear and his advocate appeared through authority letter and produce record. As witness was essential and important can file revision or appeal to high court or district and sessions court. Please advise
If a summoned witness fails to appear in court, even with an advocate present via an authority letter, this is a serious issue. The witness must attend personally to provide essential testimony and documents. If the witness's attendance is crucial and they did not appear, you may have grounds to file a revision or appeal with the High Court or District and Sessions Court. It's advisable to discuss this with your own legal counsel who can present the matter to the court.

You can say the same to the court through your own counsel. He will look into the matter. Court also observes it and call for if necessary.

A summoned witness can not authorise any one else including counsel for the party, he / she will have to attend proceeding and produce requisite document(s).
