Gift deed

(Querist) 14 November 2015 This query is : Resolved 
Sir, my mother wants to give her property (flat)to my son (grand son of her), he is now in US. Can we go for gift deed registration with out him. Please kindly tell us the procedure involved in this in case of his absence.

She can execute in USA a notarized Power of Attorney(as per USA laws) to anybody and after endorsing the same by the US Embassy and send to Collectorate to the local Sub-Register in India.
