Rti

(Querist) 18 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
Sir
If an applicant filed an appeal under RTI Act,against no reply from PIO.On enquiry the appellate authority learnt that PIO has supplied the information, but the applicant not received the reply within stipulated time. In this occasion, whether the appellate authority can give the copy of PIO or furnish the details again while disposing the appeal
Anirudh (Expert) 19 February 2015
Yes, your grievance is that the information has not been given by the PIO. Once it transpires that PIO had already furnished the information and you did not receive it, then the best course is to direct the PIO to make available a copy of the same to you. What more?
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 19 February 2015
Yes the appellate authority can do so.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 20 February 2015
Agreed with the views of experts.
