Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 08 May 2014
if he has joined he can perform badly during probation or get in involved in disciplinary/ criminal case to ensure that he gets revert ed
Sankaranarayanan (Expert) 08 May 2014
Normally the promotion will be generated automatically. if it is delay then it has some remark or disciplinary reason hope so
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 13 May 2014
@Mr Shankar Narayanan

the author has not given any facts of the case so you cannot understand the case.

His case doe snot appear to be of the delay in promotion rather he wants to get reverted after probation.

for this he has to do serious misconduct.

The query is not having adequate information.
Guest (Expert) 13 May 2014
Refusal to promotion is now considered as defiance of order of the competent authority and is treated as indiscipline on the part of the employee. After joining, he can request for reversion to his lower post, but cannot claim to be appointed on the same office.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 14 May 2014
@ Mr Arunagiri

if the author decides not to give full facts then let him suffer the advise based on half facts.
