Sir, maine apni dukan main date 5.10.10 ko 1kw ka bizli ka meter lagwaya tha. aur samay samay per apni dukan ka bill data raha. kintu kuch personal problem ki vajah se maine apni kiraye ki dukan chod di aur bill ka last payment date 25.05.2012 tak ada kar diya aur date 31.05.2012 ko P.D. bhi summit kar di last bill ki photocopy ke sath . lekin kafi kesa ke chakkar lagane ke baad bhi kesa ke adkari connection katne nahi aaye. aur aaj date 01.04.2014 ko 30,000/- ka bill lekar aa gaye hai ki payment kare, main yeh jannna chahta hu ki mujhe legal koi relief mil sakti hai, ya mujhe payment jama karna hoga. P.D.application dene ke bavjood.

agr aapne 31/5/2012 ko dukan chod dee hai aur pura payment kar deeya hai to aap ko bill bharne ki jarurat nahi kyunki aapne unko likhkar bola tha aap ka connection discconect karne ke liye

Have you acknowledgement of the application for disconnection. If so approach them with that application copy. You have left the rented shop, may ask the new tenant to pay the bill as he has consumed this electricity.

thanks for your advice, agar mujhe consumer forum jana pade, to kis section ke antergat case file kar sakte hai, aur kya case file karne se pehle koi notice dena hoga ?

Yes before filing a case before the consumer forum, you have to issue a notice and after that only you can file a case with the consumer forum, dont worry about the section, you can file it without mentioning the provisions of related law for this purpose.

thanks sir, but main legal notice kiso bheju.. dukan malik ko ya kesa department ko ya dono ko? main dukan malik ko party banana chahta hu ? kya main use party bana sakta hu ?

maine jab 31.05.2012 ko dukan khali ki thi tab se aaj tak us dukan per dukan malik ka tala laga hua hai. electricity ka koi use nahi hua hai, kya tab bhi sara bill ada karne ka main jimmedar hu.. plz reply..

In some of the states, there is a minimum charges on allotted load in electricity bill even if electricity not used. please confirm in case of your state.
However, you have right to approach supplier with your grievance.
