Refusal of counselling by my wife

To day was hearing and i requested the court to transfer the case to counselling.But my wife told that she won't come for counselling in front of the counselleros today.The counsellor told me that if she is not willing to come for counselling nothing can be done.my question is

Is it must that the petitioner should come for the counselling?
If she is not ready for counselling what is the next procedure?

it seems your wife has made up her mind . she does not want a settlement .

in such a case court will hear the application fieled by wife on merits and pass orders
