(Querist) 11 March 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir, Can any hospital force the patients to purchase the medicines, injections etc from its own i.e. hospital's pharmacy as they are to be used inside the hospital? If no, will you please site the legal judgements to that effect.

even though they cannot force,it is better to purchase from them so long as you are admitted there.

if you are not happy with the medicines/rate,it is better to change the hospital.

mahendrakumar's reply is very practical.
Law fo not enforce you to purchase from that store, but it is ok.

Although the hospital can't force to purchase medicines only from its shop, but in case of any fake medicine, if purchased from that pharmacy, only the hospital and its pharmacy becomes responsible for damages.
