Benefits of flat owner's association

Dear Experts,

I have purchased a new flat and residing in the same apartment. Our apartment consist of 20 flats and we have decided to form an association and made arrangements too.

Now, as a member of the association, what are the benefits available for me?

Will there be any chances of facing legal consequences for any reasons other than non payment of maintenance charges?

If we are not happy with any members's approach to the association,what kind of rights that i can execute as an individual?
