Registration with bbmp

We recently bought a flat and got the sale deed as well as got the property registered with the BBMP. All documents are in place. Now we have doubts that the property we bought may have been constructed without sanction from the BBMP. The owners deny this but we are worried. If this is true, will we suffer in any way? What should we do?

Check with development authority. If it was not sanctioned then proceed as per bye-laws of development authority.

Don;t create panic and first check the concerned record and then enquire about measures to legalize the construction.
