Resignation period

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 18 October 2011 This query is : Resolved
hello,

I have recently resigned from an MNC, i cannot work through the 3 months notice period and requested if I can leave earlier than the 3 months.

They have said I will have to pay them the salary, for the days I do not work.

Is there anyway to contest this ? I am not in a position to pay them the entire sum for even a month.

Please advise.

the MNC is being very reasonable . although under the contract you are required to give 3 months notice the company has agreed to permit you to pay salry for period if you are not able to serve notice period

accept the company offer . if you are not able to pay salary then serve notice period

I have similar views as Shri Ajay Sethi.

The choice given by the company is even better than any relief you can expect after a tiring exercise in courts.
