Notice of suit against branch manager of SBI

I want to file a civil suit against branch manager of SBI bank. Does I need to send notice him under sec.80 of CPC? If yes then to whome should I address either branch manager in which I have account or head office or regional office?

Notice u/s 80 CPC not required.

If you want to send notice, you may have to send notice to the HO with copies to the Zonal Office as well as the concerned branch of the SBI. I think notice u/s 80 CPC would be necessary, as SBI is a Government concern.

A bank manager is not a government servant. SBI is a company. It is at the most a state activity but its officers are not public officers within the meaning of Sec. 2(17) of CPC
