you can make an enquiry in the revenue office or if it comes under the village then make an enquiry about the land in the village panchyat.

Land Record is maintained by Revenue officers starting from village Patwari (in some areas-it is called Lekhpal). Patwari is incharge of local revenue area. Approach him and first be confirmed about your ownership and then obtain possession of your exact area so that future problems may be removed at this initial stage. Gram Panchayat has not role to play in such matters.

Dear mr. Rajeev and Mr. Makkad, Please appreciate, the land is not owned by Mr. Subba Reddy. But since there is a land, and which is presently not being cultivated by anybody, he wants to cultivate and take possession. For that he wants to know from this site, how he can take possession of that land.

You may approach the Kanoongo or the Tehsildar of the area to provide the needed information.
