Dear Sharad, IF you had obtained your LL.B. degree prior to academic year 2009-2010, you can get your enrolled as an Advocate in WB Bar Council and practise as an Advocate. For those who passed in the year academic year 2009-10 onwards they have to enrol in the Bar Council and have to clear the All India Bar Examination before one could practice as an Advocate.
For enrolling in WB Bar Council, you have to indicate your residential status within West Bengal. In any case, you have to obtain necessary Enrolment Form from WB Bar Council and deposit the requisite fees. Once you register in WB Bar Council, you will be able to appear in Courts in other parts of India. But if you say that you want to practice in Other States, then you may have to get your registered in that State where you would be practising. Practising is different from appearing. While practising connotes regular practice, appearance connotes appearance occassionally.
