Mutual divorce decree

My brother got a mutual divorce on the 16th May 2018 from the 1st district judge. Till now did not receive the certified decree copy. Lawyer is saying it will take more time. Getting confused. Can anyone say how long does it take to get the decree of mutual divorce from the district court.

Ask your brother to directly visit the same court and inquire with the concerned court clerk. If the Decree is ready with the sign and stamp of the court, then he can collect it from the court directly.
If you are willing to obtain the certified copy of the same, then you will have to file an application before the court to issue a certified copy.
