Hi am planning to cover my terrace attached to my flat and balcony with sliding winows and grill...Can I do it???Do I need to take permission from the Municipal authorities to do it???I stay in Thane suburbs Mumbai.Experts pl reply...

Yes permission from municipal corporation is necessary.

For approval of the Municipality, you will have to submit layout plan for the proposed construction duly prepared by some municipality approved architect, so that no infringement of the building bylaws are made by the proposed construction.
