Demand of excise and sales tax and royalty after 2 years

Good morning ,

My client is purchaser of coal from a company for last several years and paying accordingly as per bill raised .
but now company is demanding further Excise duty , Sales tax on the ground of diffrenciate ..

plz advice ..

It depends on the contract. If the agreed sale price is inclusive of all taxes and duties then liability can be denied on that ground. If not, you can consult a legal expert with expertise on taxation and contracts to give you right advise and protect your interest including invoking arbitration as per contract or under limitation act.
