X bank has declared Thursday as weekly holiday. My queries are as under.
1. whether the bank is competent to declare Thursday as weekly holiday in stead of Sunday.
2. If a bill or cheque is due for payment on a Thursday but could not be paid as the bank was closed.
3. In such situation, whether the bank will be protected u/s 25 of NI Act for non payment of the bill or cheque.

Bank can not change holiday of its own.

Due date of cheque would be counted in accordance of the NI Act.
