Dear Sir/Madam, My 3 cent land’s correct survey number is 844 but had written wrongly in deed document 8444. I asked land seller to sign correction deed in the Sub Register Office. But he does not accept it. Please give me advice to make correction in other ways.

A rectification deed correcting the error in survey number executed by the vendor will be the only solution. If he vendor is not cooperating, you may move an application to the SRO directly along with the copy of he link documents narrating the facts and request for correction vide a rectification deed or take the help of lawyer to proceed with the issue legally through court of law.

Send a legal notice to the landlord,if the landlord would not comply to such an amendment or rectification of the executed documents, then you can file a suit before a civil court under Section 26 of Specific Relief Act 1963. The law provides for relief to parties in case the real intention of the party is not properly reflected in the documents executed because of a bona fide mistake of fact.
