Cheque bounce - address changed

(Querist) 19 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

I have a query. One person gave me a cheque and it got bounced. Now I want to send a legal notice to him and want to file a case.

But that person on whom I want to file the case got his address changed. He changed his house and also he is not reachable to me on mobile also. he changed his number too.

1) Now if I send notice to his old house will it serve the purpose ?

2) Can I file the case like this and court will take care of rest of things ?

3) Is it manadatory for me to mention his fathers name when filing the cheque bounce case on him ?

not mandatory to mention father name when filing cheque bounce case .

you have to send notice at his last known address . wait for postal acknowledgement . you have to prove service of notice on accused .

Sethi Sir,

that person has changed his address. I am ready to send notice to his old address. But we cannot get postal acknowledgement for this. Still it will serve the purpose for us ?

if he has changed his address you must make enquires and find out his new address . hire a detective agency .
