Hi,

What is the procedure to get a succession certificate? What are the documents to be submitted and how long will it take to get the certificate?

iit depends where you are located . generally around 6 months time . you need to furnish death certificate etc

1. Original Death Certificate
2. Original documents of moveable assets.

Time is 6-8 months. It may linger if there is defect in the petition.

If u r in Karnataka pls find these documents to be annexed
1) original death certificate
2) ration card if u r possessing
3) family surviving certificate issued by village accountant
4) affidavit sworn before Notary disclosing family members of deceased.
