Will

(Querist) 14 February 2012 This query is : Resolved
Dear sir / madam,
My father made a will. That will is still now not registered. My father made in Rs.20 deed and attached concrete paper. I have two sisters and one brother. My father will say all property to two sons only, not a bit in two daughters. But my father gave to some money to two daughters.
Somebody’s saying not registered will is not valid, only registered will is valid. Now my father alive with us (sons). 1. This will make problem in future? 2. Shall we register this will?
Regards,
A V Vishal (Expert) 14 February 2012
Registration of will is optional, however in your best interests you can register the same. A unregistered will is as much valid as a registered will.

Dear Mr. Chugh, which experts have decided and when not to answer the question posted by the quersit? What is the reason for such decision? At least I am not aware of any such practice being followed on this interactive platform. Such decisions do not appear to be in consonance with the objective of this platform which has been serving the Public by giving them legal guidance in tackling their problems. Shall be gald to be enlightened.
