Dear Sir
Please tell me Whether a gift deed can be notarized or not by the Registered notary?

hi,

As per the Sec.17(a) of the Registration Act 1908, any instrument for gift of an immovable property shall be registered.
Please note that requisite stamp duty has to be paid before registration.

Registration of Gift deed requires under Section 17(1)(a) of the Registration Act.

No gift without registration after paying the proper stamp duty is valid.
So Notary would not do.
