Sir,
we had a plot of 440 sq yrds ,gave if for development in 2007, as builder could not start construction we made a reagrement in 2010(we gave him GPA).then he slowly started work and did not finish it till date.the time period with relaxation has expired 10 months back.as for our information he has sold few flats belonging to him.can u advise me how to go further. Can we go for unilateral cancelllation of agremebnt or do we have any other options.......

building projects are invaribaly delayed . delay of a year or so are normal . you have to go through the provisions of your agreement . whether time is essence of contract ?
provision in contract relating to termination /cancellation of agreeement .

You shall have to get the clear guidance from the clauses of the agreement itself.
