East punjab urban rent restriction act1949

landlord filed a eviction petition on grounds of non payment of rent only. earlier landlord had filed a rent petition for rent that was disposed off when the tenant make the payment of rent in court. Now in present petition, inadvertantly the tenant denied the relationship of landlord and tenant due to which issues have been framed. now the tenant wants to withdraw his plea as he had admitted the relationship in earlier petition. the tenant moved application for amendment of written statement the said application has been dismissed by rent controller on the pretext that the tenant can not back out from his pleas what is the option for the tenant.

No remedy, as this is the basic aspect of the pleading.

Compromise and vacate the premises or start paying rent.
