is it compulsory to make a promisssory note on stamp paper and if i am making the receipt of rs 4 lakg is it oh if i will make the same on legal paper with revenue stamp or else i need stamp paper i have only one stamp paper so pls tell me for which document should i use the stm paper for promissory note or receipt of rs 4 lakh

safety way you get promissory note, its no need for register and if you get bond you must register as per registration act. so my opinion get pro note, but its valid 3years only.

pro missionary note ready madly available in shop just buy it and affix stamp and get signature that is sufficient
