Dear Dixit Patel,
The major limbs of your question are :
Prospects of MD Forensic Medicine with part time LL B for becoming criminal lawyer : Being a specialized area the potential is great as such but the big question is how you will be able to generate and manage the work.
Whether by becoming a Legal practitioner will result in waste of your MBBS practice.
At the time of entering into the MBBS studies what were your future aspirations and what made you to change the same. Being from Advocate's family doesn't mean that you should also become an Advocate. The big question "what is best for you and how comfortable you are whether it is MBBS or Advocacy or mixture/blending of both" is to be solved by you alone. My sincere advice is think about the big picture and where you want to see yourself.
All the very best in all your future endeavours. God bless
Best Regards
Daksh

Each and every field has its own merits and demerits. It depends upon a person to chose his own field along-with acceptance of challenges coming in the way. We are also a family of advocates. One of sons of my elder brother did M. Tech. and he joined a MNC at handsome salary but at later stage, he started comparing the life of other family members with himself and found that legal field is better so he did LLB and started practice and at present he is an established lawyer in a high court but my son is interested in B. Tech. despite of observing all happenings of family and is determined to persue his own path.
It doesn't matter whether you possess MBBS qualification for perusing any particular line in legal profession including forensic medicine or vice-versa so it is upon you to decide what to do. Oppotunities and prospects are open both sides.

To recapitulate the whole issue, I would also like to share that my parents belong to Medical Profession and dedicated their entire life for their patients giving no room for their private and personal life. This made them to divert their children to non-medical career and all of us got settled choosing respective fields. But becoming a lawyer has been my childhood passion and did complete my law degree. But due to compulsions in employment, I was forced to take up a job in a nationalised bank. But I have the confidence that I can switch over to take up law as my full-fledged career even at the age of 50 or even seek voluntary retirement from bank to involve in practice as this noble profession has no age limits. But the issue is, the author having opted for a medical career, it is very difficult to gain medical practice or keep in touch with the latest trends in medical sciences once he looses his touch for even a couple of years. You may have to regret having both the degrees on hand without smelling success in either of them. He has got to introspect on his own before choosing his career.

Many many thanks to Mr Daksh,Mr Raj Kumar& Mr Parthasarathi Loganathan. I am highly obliged to your valuable opinion.
I want to make myself clear regarding future...
If I choose to take medicolegal practitioner career then obviously I will use my medical knowledge for matter of case, but I will have to forget about treating patients.I am well aware that "it will not be possible to juggle legal & medical career simultaneously.I am not going to have any medical representative sitting in my waiting lounge."
So I want to expand my knowledge regarding the medicolegal practice before deciding any.....
Because all I know about MD,Forensic Medicine doctor doing is
-Medical Examiner ( coroner)
-Forensic Pathologist
- crime scene examiner
-forensic engineer
- academic
Has MD, Forensic Medicine any advantage of having wast knowledge of Medical jurisprudence? or he has stand the same chance in reality as Nonmedical Lawyer?
Your precious advice will help me deciding my future.Kindly enlighen me.
Always your Sincerely,
Dixit
