My friend got married in sub registrar office which is not a local resident of Both the bride and bridegroom permanent and present addresses.

Is it valid marriage or not ???
adv.bharat @ PUNE (Expert) 19 February 2017
No it is valid marriage since it is registered and address have no concern about marriage validity.
Maruthi (Querist) 19 February 2017
But I heard from others that marriage should be done in same sub registrar area and also i have seen in some news papers & media in Marriage act rules at least one person(either bridegroom or bride) should resides under same sub registrar area. Iam confusing about this.

Can you please give me a clarification regarding my query

Thanks in advance...
