Deed of rectification

Sir,
I purchased a house. The previous sale deed mentioned the h.no. which was old. During registration of the property the same old house no. reflected the our sale deed whereas the no. is different (new no.)in muncipal tax records, electricity meter etc. Now please advice how to rectify the house no. It seems the seller has to sign the deed. If the seller is not willing to cooperate, how should we proceed with the correction. Please advice as the matter is serious and required urgently. Thanks in advance.
