Dear Friends pl clarify !

The Daughter in law residing in Guntur and in laws family is residing at Nizmabad and for the alleged incident at Nizmabad -in-Laws House, the Daughter-in-law can file a Case Under D V Act in Guntur Court

Still I am contesting for it. I had taken contention regarding the jurisdiction because jurisdiction lies where the alleged incident have taken place, but court is not at all considering it. In the DV act protection officer will file a report before the magistrate. I had challenged his jurisdction, but court failed to understand.

Yes. She can file it at Guntur since Sec.2(i) of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act,2005 permits it. The option lies with her to choose either Guntur or Nizamabad
