I would like to know from you the instances of cruelty and torture by wife

Those are numerous and depends or varies according to circumstances.
For a regular housewife refusal to cook food is an instance of cruelty but not for a working lady who remains out of home most of the time.
You better spell out your problem so we could determine that those are cruelty or not.

Mr.Sheik Mohammed Ali,

498A. Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty —
Whoever, being the husband or the relative of the husband of a woman, subjects such woman to cruelty shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.

The above said section clearly says it is meant for women victim.
