Pilania! The order passed by Army should be taken into care prior to framing of opinion. There are various types of the offences which if tried in Court of Inquiry (COI) and if the guilt is established then such armed personnel may be awarded such harsh punishment that he may not be eligible for any public employment in civil life and his status shall also be treated as 'Non-armed personnel'.

On the other hand, there are many offences wherein such person may take civil employment.

The fact that you have been court martialled by army would disentitle you for any govt job

The situation is not similar in all cases.

I think Mr.Sandeep wants to know about the child's govt job whos father is court marshanled... is it?
PARDEEP KUMAR (Expert) 25 February 2012
Dear Pilania,

I am afraid, except 'AAK' rest of the learned experts has mis-interepret your question.

There is no such law to debar child of a court martialled person from Government Job, however, in case Court martial is on account of spying etc., un-officially, relative, child of such a person won't be selected for sensitive postings involving country security. otherwise, such a child is eligible for all type of government jobs.

Unless security of the state is jeopardised due to the subversive activities of self or any one of the court-martialled parents of the applicant, he cannot be debarred from Government service subject to further verification of the character and antecedents of the applicant on selection.
