I think Ganesan has told the documents necessary for registration of marriage whereas querist wants to know documents for court marriage.

ONE MONTH'S PRIOR NOTICE IS REQUIRED TO BE GIVEN BY REGISTRAR OF MARRIAGES TO THE MARRYING PARTIES AS WELL TO GENERAL PUBLIC. THE REGISTRAR DISPLAYS THAT NOTICE AT ITS NOTICE BOARD AND IF NO OBJECTION AGAINST MARRIAGE IS RECEIVED BY THE COURT WITH IN THAT ONE MONTH PERIOD THEN U CAN GO AHEAD WITH THE MARRIAGE.

For court marriage, you need to submit proofs of age and residence for both bride and groom with 2 passport size photographs of each. 3 witnesses are required at the TIME OF REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE.

But I have also 1 Question, Somebody told that Registrar has send a letter at your address (Address Proof)for Parents knowledge. Is it True...
If Yes so there is a big problem.

After Verification of all the documents is carried out on the date of application and a day is fixed and communicated to the parties for registration.
