1. The members of Managing Committee are being elected from amongst eligible members of the society accordingly they have also all the rights of a member of the society.
2. However, joint members (other than the member whose name stands first in the share certificate)associate and coopted member do not enjoy voting rights.
3. Although Cooperative Societies Act is a State subject, yet generally legal preposition do not differ on the subject.

I agree with the Expert Dr Vashishtha. Management Committee is chosen by the mandate of all the members and are chosen from the members only so they inherit the all rights and liabilities of the general member.
See sec 14 15 & 16 of the Act which cover the sharing of the profit post by the member, member is qualified and related with Governing Body of the Society. In it's narration every thing is clear that who is eligible for the votes and not.

I agree with the opinions of the experts on the subject issue, nothing ,more to add.
