I have some difference with the opinion of experts. If a private firm is not already a regisered company with the Registrar of Companies, the same name can also be registered as a company but with suffix as "Limited Company" or "Private Limited Company".

But, if the firm is already a registered company NO same/similar name is permissible for any other company.
