Change of name

Respected Counsel,

one of the Company named "X" which is having Leave & Licence Agreement registerd & stamp duty paid is changed the name to "X-INDIA PVT.LTD". is it mandatory to re-register the document and once again stamp duty has to be paid or regular letter to the Registering authority will do?

Soliciting your advice in this regard.
In-case if it has to be re-registered under which section it will be effective.
