Change of dob on 10th certificate

Dear Sir

I have different dob on metric certificate(20-09-74) and on date of birth certificate (20-09-76).
I want to change dob on my 10th certificate.
Please advise if i can change the dob on my
10th certificate.
I am not a govt or private empolye.
Please advise which document are required in the court.

Firstly you have to file a aaplication in the court with affidavit and produce your birth certificate and also state reason why you want to change your DOB. Court will pass the order if staisfy with your reply and proof.Then after you can change your DOB on metric certificate.

I do not agree with Rohra.

You should first of all make a representation to the concerned school from where you had appeared in your matriculation examination with copy to Board of School Education with which your aforesaid school is affiliated (which issued you such certificate) to effect change in their record the actual DOB as per your birth certificate and re-issue fresh certificate. As this shall not be done so you shall have to file civil suit accordingly making parties to the school and board.

You shall have to lead your evidence followed by defendants and argument and only then court shall decide the case. There is no guarantee of effecting change but this is the only procedure to do the desired results.

If you are in Maharashtra, you can rectify the change in your DOB by publicatin in the official gazette of Govt. of Maharashtra.
You have to produce the original birth certificate and the other certificate for verification and you have to attacha certified copy of the said certificate to the application.
I have done this for a friend and couple of clients.

in tamilnadu by gazate publication you can not rectify your date of birth in your school certificate., you can do it through court only..
