Cancellation of gift deed and refund of stamp duty

(Querist) 09 February 2015 This query is : Resolved 
can gift deed be cancelled by the consent of both parties in that case can they apply for refund of stamp duty and registration fee. A sister executed gift deed and gave a flat to another sister. The gift deed is already registered with sub register paying stamp duty and registration charges.i will be great ful if expert answer my question. Both are staying in Thane and state Maharashtra

It is not possible, since the transaction stands completed by paying applicable stamp duty.

Stamp duty and registration fee can not be refunded as the document has been registered.
