Can I practise as a Tax Advocate

I am Narendra Singh. I have been completed my M.com in 2009. Now i am in LLB IInd year. My College have only common subject of LLB, there are no choice. I would like to work as a tax adovocate. So what should I do to become a tax advocate.

Please heplp me on this matter!!

As such no qualification is prescribed to function as Tax Practitioners as even B.Com degree holders are doing this job.

However, you can never be branded as an advocate till you gain a valid three year law degree and get enrolled in the Bar Council.

After getting enrolled as a lawyer you can specialise in the tax field by choosing to join a senior who is practising on tax matters.

yes after enrolled with bar council of India and also with your State Bar council than you can practice in any legal field not tax but I think C.A capture whole market of Tax.

You can practice as tax advocate. If you want to practice as a sales tax practictioner then you will have to register your name to the state sales tax dept., and Income tax you can practice

Any advocate can practise as Tax Advocate. You should first enroll yourself in the Bar after your law graduation and upon enrollment you may practise as tax advocate or as an advocate in any discipline.

Complete your LLB and get enrolled with Bar Council. For tax practice no qualification is required.

IT act allows commerce graduates to practice with simple registration formalities with local commissioner of IT.

Go ahead and do it it is more lucrative than the legal profession.

yes after enrolled with your State Bar council than you can practise in any legal field including tax matters/law before the tax authorities and courts of law dealing with tax matters/laws . You can plead the Tax matters/law before the High Court also.
