HOW TO BUY INAM /WATAN LAND?
MY INFORMATION IS THAT ONE HAS TO PAY SOME VALUE
(NAJARANA) TO GOVT - BUT DOES THAT LAND
GETS CONVERTED TO CLEAR TITLE LAND AFTERWORDS.

Bhagwatji Thnx for early post!
I am confused about the status of the land after paying the Najarana - does it loose its
condtitional status - & becomes clear hold?
Secondly I was also interested in knowing which of these conditional lands - can we
deal with - is the process of conversion very cumbersome??

If it is new tenure land, you cannot purchase. if you are not agriculturist, you cannot purchase. To purchase new tenure land you should obtain prior permission from the Collector. If you are holding new tenure land for many years you have to pay premium to the govt.as per prevailing rules for converting that land into old tenure land.

NIRANJAN Thnx for the post.
We are agricultarist by legacy.
We, a group of friends (5) were eying a plot
of 50 acres which is of the new tenure type - it belongs to men from Sonar community ...
so I think it would be a reward land to village balutedar.. type.
Is it advisalbe to go for the land.
We were interested because it was a single piece of land - themanagement for which would be easy.
